WASTE DISPOSAL AND MANAGEMENT IN ENUGU URBAN
(A CASE STUDY OF ENSEPA)
The purpose of this study is to identify or suggest ways which waste can be effectively managed with regards to time distance and cost.
This study has also shown that waste management is an involving process that requires great attention study, skill and finance to manage. One important experiment for successful management of waste is several and awareness. Because persons generating waste are vital in their successful disposal, so public education programme and projects in this direction should be a key governmental even non-governmental activities.
The suggested abroad and sustain public enlightenment programme towards awareness of the goals and benefits process taking advantage of several process can be undertaken simultaneously to the advantage of time and cost. Therefore, local industries within Enugu Urban should be educated or enlightened on the benefits or economic advantage engaging in waste recycling process like plastics, aluminum and steel industries among others.
As this will serve as a sources of raw materials cost advantage and efficient utilization of materials for effective administration, a good transport system should be put in place to aid movement waste materials, from one point to another.
I also suggest that refuse transfer station should be constructed it near them heart of the collection areas to minimize distance, cost and time.
I recommend that government should organize seminars for ENSEPA staff, competition on cleanliness between towns or cities waste posts in the town.

1.1 GENERAL BACKGROUND TO THE SUBJECT MATTER
Waste arises from the extraction of useful or desired position of a good and, or service. When we eat banana, plantain, chew pineapples, leak oranges for example, we dispose the peels after a conference, we abandon the conference papers and after dressing our hair we leave the cut hair and the finished hair oil container at a glue process. May be the input of another process food , vegetables, farm yard, and some domestic waste valuable inputs to form enrichment.
That is murmuring waste paper such as off cut and discussed papers as input into paper conversion industry.
In garbage need to be managed management require resources and organization. It was said that an African who oversee countries are very neat and his host told him with sequel wonder that they sweep if nothing else, it takes time so we regard time as a key resources that cannot be stored because it is running in exorable. When waste arises, it is necessary to dispose of it. Disposal will often induce taking waste done the areas or place at which it will be disposal. It is certain that transport will be involved.
When it involves more than transport we look at waste disposal as a project consisting of several activities. Some of the activities will naturally be in severe. There may be activities which can run parallel to one or more than other activities.
Where this is the case, then we can use work analysis as a planning and scheduling technique. Network analysis is a tools of management which can therefore be brought to bear on effective administration of waste management programme. Due to the limitation of time and other resources, this study will be limited to domestic waste that is:
WASTE GENERATED FROM OUR DOMESTIC ACTIVITIES
And homestead waste management in the circumstances, I shall be concern strictly with the nature of domestic waste. Their volume and the process of disposal.
